LOVE Day...

What a difference a day makes! Today was so wonderful! I woke up to my house covered with little notes from Marty to Ethan, Nyah, and myself. Marty also left me a beautiful letter and sent us on a scavenger hunt around the house to find our gifts. Nyah received a Tinkerbell balloon and Ethan got a Tigger one. Marty gave me a beautiful red box filled with cards listing different acts of love and service that I could redeem at any given time. My favorite: The "yuk card!" When redeemed, Marty will clean the toilets for me! YIPPY! No really, my favorite one was actually "daddy home card." Upon my request, Marty has to drop whatever he is doing and rush home to be with us! Fun huh! Promises of massages, dinner, and a date night were also some of my favorites! Nyah and Ethan gave their Daddy a new shower head which includes lots of relaxing options. If you didn't know, Marty LOVES water and loves to take long showers. This might actually backfire on me...(ha) I made Marty a special dinner; stuffed red peppers with chocolate icecream covered in pecans (all carb friendly I might add) It was a great day and I am grateful for the time we all spent thinking of eachother! I LOVE my family...

A Day of Firsts..

Today was a day of many firsts! Nyah clapped for the first time today. Everytime I said: "YEA," she would clap. It was so cute! She thought she was something else. Ethan sat up for quite a while and didn't even fall down. When he did,...he rolled over and looked up and smiled at me. He thought it was quite fun. I sat him back up and he decided he would like to be adventurous and threw himself into a roll. I thought for sure he would start screaming after hitting the floor. Instead,. he smiled and tried to get himself back up! Crazy kid! Today was also a first for me.....I got a little overwhelmed! I don't know what has held me for so long, but today I "felt" like a mother of twins! Don't get me wrong, it hasn't always been easy but today was something else. Ethan and Nyah are very aware of things now. They know when I've left the room, they know when I'm holding the other one and not them, and they have now decided to stop taking their long naps! Instead, they take shorter ones and wake eachother up! (even if I've got them in seperate rooms) Needless to say, I don't think I even had time to pee today! (sorry,..it is true) I love my babies....nonetheless! They are the world to me. (especially now that they are both sound asleep)

Kissing Noises & Snuggle Bugs

This picture was taken the very first morning Ethan and Nyah woke up together in their shared crib.
(at six months old) Before this, they slept in a pack n' play in our room together.

Feb 7, 2008: Ethan has officially cut his second tooth today! I can't believe how big the twins are getting. Ethan is becoming our "drama" baby. It is cute,...and a little crazy. He is not afraid to cry out when he is mad, hungry, bored, or if I've left the room. Last night he woke up (which is happening a lot lately) and wouldn't settle down unless I picked him up. (even with the binki) I brought him into our room and he saw daddy and just lit up! He loves his daddy! The hard thing about twins is that they wake eachother up. Nyah followed soon after and I ended up feeding them an extra feeding. What is sleep again??? Nyah is getting stronger than ever and seems a lot more willing to be on her tummy! She is very good at mimiking my many faces. She smiles with her eyes first and trys to hold her grin in. It is so cute and mischevious looking! Their new thing: pulling eachother's hair. They dont' realize, when they are playing, that eachothers' bodies aren't fair game. AND....they are both making "kissing" sounds. Too cute...

I think it is the most precious thing that Ethan & Nyah snuggle together at night in their crib.  I don't know when we'll move them to seperate cribs, but for now,..It is a joy to see them together,..just as they came into this world.  They wake up so happy and love eachother so much!
